Growing up in Australia as a first generation Asian-Australian has its challenges. Who do you go to for advice or experience when usually your social circle is also going through the same experience the first time? I always felt as though there were a lack of resources for young Asian-Australians to find the guidance and stories of like-minded people. Most of us were told to just follow the rules, don't speak up and cause trouble for your family, so it was hard to find people that have gone through the same struggles.
My name is Tung and I'm Australian, born to Vietnamese parents. This podcast will bring on various guests to share their perspectives on topics such as their career (which may not be a typical Asian job in STEM), common Asian traits growing up and many more. Through these stories I hope that you may find some inspiration from people branching out from the norm or laugh at the experiences we went through that you also may have experienced.
